EAST Festival in London

East London Festival is a six day celebration showcasing the diversity and artistic talents of the people of East London. It would be led by the Mayor of London on Thursday 4 March this year, the festival would go on till Tuesday 9 March. The festival would be hosting more than 100 events through out the week. The events would be concentrating on film screenings, bicycle tours, music and literary readings.

    The Where Three Dreams Cross Exibition shows 150 years of photos from the captioned countries. The captured images would showcase the time when photographic studios were nearly established in 1850s, to present day images of the social, political and everyday life of its citizens.
    Arranged in five different themes, visitors to the Where Three Dreams Cross exhibition invites you to explore the history of these photos in five different ways. Portrait illustrates the development of the self over the past 150 years, while the Family section looks at close familiar relationships with early hand painted photos and current portraits. Key political moments are examined in Body Politic, Performance looks at the golden age of Bollywood, and the Street concentrates on how the three countries have coped with social development and life on the street.
