Introduction: In its earlier avatar, the hotel was called the Le Meridien Russell and was built way back in 1898. It is one of London 's first and the most authentic Victorian Deluxe hotel with a staggering 373 opulent rooms.

The moment you enter the lobby, you come across the grandiose mosaic floor, which was built during the hotel's inception in 1898 but was damaged in the war. Now though, the lobby has been fully restored to its past grandeur.
